Flash joins Kadayawan, Masskara festivals for RCBC’s DiskarTech

RCBC and Manila-based ad agency Flash joined forces to spread awareness about RCBC's financial inclusion superapp, DiskarTech, at festivals in Davao and Bacolod last year, resulting in over 2,000 app registrations and the launch of the country's first mobile human-assisted remote banking service, “Moneybela Barangayan Banking.” #FlashAtWork

The Philippines is known for its vibrant and colorful festivals, which not only showcase the rich cultural heritage of the country but also provide a unique platform for businesses to reach out to their target audience. The Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) took advantage of this opportunity by partnering with Flash to spread awareness about its financial inclusion superapp, DiskarTech, during the Kadayawan and Masskara festivals last year.

Flash deployed scores of agents during the events, gathering over 2,000 registrations, especially among the unbanked populations in Davao and Bacolod.

During the festivals, Flash also mounted the launching events of RCBC's “Moneybela Barangayan Banking”, the country's first mobile human-assisted remote banking service. This innovative service provides financial inclusion to rural areas and makes banking services accessible to everyone, even in far-flung communities.

RCBC Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation and Inclusion Officer Lito Villanueva said in Davao that RCBC continues to value human connection in financial transactions. Villanueva also said that the synergy of physical and digital approaches in its “Moneybela Barangayan Banking” is an essential component of upscaling financial inclusion.

This year, RCBC’s DiskarTech has once again tapped Flash as the bank joined the Sinulog and Dinagyang festivals in Cebu and Iloilo, respectively.
